Cross-laminated timber and biofuels, a tasty crossover
NiNa Innovation has led a study evaluating a concept of expanding the product base for small-log saw mills.
NiNa Innovation worked with saw mill owner VIDA and fuel producer Preem to evaluate the production of Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT) and second-generation ethanol in saw mills that use the ”small-log” assortment. The CLT market is rapidly expanding as wood construction is increasingly being used for multi-storey buildings.
