Anna von Schenck was the moderator of the "Aviation and Marine Biofuels" session at the International World Biorefinery Conference in Stockholm on May 26, 2016.
In the session, Swedavia, the owner of the major Swedish airports presented their new incentive programs to increase the demand for biojet as a replacement for fossil jet fuels. SynSel gave an update on their plans to start production of biojet in Norway. In two speeches, alternative fuels for use in marine engines were discussed, pointing out methanol as one of the most promising alternatives.
